OPERATION

WARNING! Only sand untreated materials with the spindle
sander. Materials treated with toxic materials can pose a
health hazard if the dust particles are inhaled. Wear a dusk
mask when sanding.
WARNING! Do not attempt to sand metal with the spindle
sander. The spindle sander creates fine dust particles that
could be ignited by a spark from sanding a metal object.
The spindle rotates left to right (counterclockwise).
1.
Check that the installation of the sanding drum/sleeve and
table insert is correct. Also check that the nut is tight.
2.
Press the power button ON and wait until the spindle
reaches full speed before beginning to sand a workpiece.
3.
Bring the workpeice into contact with the sanding sleeve at
the leftmost point of the work area. Gradually move the
workpiece to the left, against the direction of rotation, to
prevent it from kicking back.
3.1 If the sanding sleeve stops rotating when it contacts
the workpiece, turn the machine OFF and tighten the
hex nut (#1) on the spindle (#55).
4. Move the workpiece away from spindle and reset it at the
leftmost point for each additional pass that is needed.
5.
Remove the workpiece from the worktable when finished
and turn the power OFF. Wait until the spindle has stopped
rotating before proceeding.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
1.
Maintain the tool with care. A tool in good condition is
efficient, easier to control and will have fewer problems.
2.
Inspect the tool components periodically. Repair or replace
damaged or worn components. Only use identical
replacement parts when servicing.
