DESCALING
Scale formation is a natural consequence of
using the machine; we recommend descal-
ing the machine every 3-4 months of use and/
or if delivery should become problematic.
The machine needs to be descaled when the
light on the descale button comes on (if enabled).
In the event of any operational conflict, this use and
maintenance manual shall prevail on any indication
specified on accessories and/or components sold
separately.
To descale the machine, use any normal, non-toxic,
commercially available descaling product for coffee
machines. Check that the capsule compartment is
empty before starting the de-scaling cycle.
Do not drink the descaling solution and prod-
ucts dispensed until the completion of the cycle.
Never use vinegar as a descaling solution.

Fill the tank with descaling product diluted in wa-
ter according to the quantities indicated in the in-
structions.
When descaling, place a large receptacle under
the delivery pipe.

To start the de-scaling procedure, press keys 1 and
3 together for 5 seconds.
The machine will emit a beep.

Press the key (on/stand-by) to start the descal-
ing cycle During the cycle the on/stand-by key
(on/stand-by) will blink. To increase the effect
of the descaling product, the machine automati-
cally pauses. When the tank is empty the cycle is
momentarily interrupted and the on/stand-by key
(on/stand-by) lights up steady. The machine
will emit a beep. Rinse and thoroughly clean the
tank, then fill it with fresh drinking water, empty
the receptacle used to collect the descaling water
and reposition it under the delivery pipe. Press the
key (on/stand-by) to start the rinse cycle.
The machine drains a full tank to complete the rinse
cycle. Top-up if necessary. The cycle may be momen-
tarily interrupted when the receptacle has to be emp-
tied, by pressing the on/stand-by key
stand-by key again to restart the cycle. Once start-
ed, the cycle must be completed.

The cycle ends when the tank is empty. The ma-
chine emits a beep and returns to the same condi-
tion as before.
