PREPARATION FOR COFFEE BREWING
To set the machine for preparing short espresso and

free measure espresso, remove the milk frothing jug.
Only these keys light up automatically:
Short espresso
Free measure espresso
The other keys do not work.
The cup rest can be set in two positions. For a large

cup, rest the cup or mug directly on the lower grill.
For a small cup, remove the grill and insert it in the
slot higher up.

COFFEE DOSE PROGRAMMING
Measures are always programmed using the same
key; any other keys are ignored.
The programmed amount of brewed coffee (minimum
20 cc / 0,6 oz) can be changed by repeating the pro-
gramming.
Should a coffee dose lower than 20 cc (0,6 oz) be set,
the coffee machine will store in any case the mini-
mum coffee dose that can be set.
Insert the Lavazza FIRMA capsule in the appropri-
ate pod-holder.
Press and hold one of the three coffee delivery
keys for at least 3 seconds.

Free measure espresso
The selected key will flash and the coffee ma-
chine will enter the programming mode.
Now release the key.
Once the desired coffee amount is reached,
stop the brewing by pressing the key again.
If the programmed measure exceeds the maximum
allowed (340 cc / 11,4 oz) the machine will automati-
cally stop delivery, the delivery key will blink and the
last programmed measure will be saved in the mem-
ory. If there is a power failure during programming,
the last programmed value remains in the memory.
ENERGY SAVING
After about 30 minutes of inactivity the machine
will switch to power saving mode and the
on/stand-by light will go out. The machine can be
manually switched to stand-by before the 30 min-
ute default time, by means of the specific key
