Adjusting the Air Gap

1. The air gap should be between 1.3 and 1.5mm. Place a feeler gauge between the
armature and magnet as shown above.
2. Tighten/loosen the nuts equally until the air gap measures between 1.3 and 1.5mm.
3. Using the feeler gauge, check the air gap around the entire circumference of the magnet
to ensure proper operation.

Replacing the Dust Protection Ring and Enclosure

1. When the air gap is set correctly, remove the lifting tab from the magnet assembly and
set aside, if using the optional enclosure, or replace in storage position as shown above.
