1. FINE T U N I N G knob
When receiving SW broadcast it acts as a fine
tuning. Turn the knob to the right or the left
until best sound is obtained.
2. Telescopic antennas for the reception of FM
and short wave broadcasts.
3. BAND select button (FM, MW, SW1, SW2,
SW3, SW4)
4. POWER switch
Set to ON position for radio reception and to
OFF/SLEEP position for other operations,
including the sleep timer function. (For the
sleep timer function, refer to page 16.)
To turn off the power, set the power switch
to the OFF/SLEEP position and release all
the tape operation buttons.
5. FUNCTION switch
PHONO:
This position should be used when playing
back and recording from a turntable equipped
with an MM-type cartridge.
LINE IN:
Switch to this position when recording from
the LINE IN jacks.
R A D I O :
This position should be used when listening to
or recording from the built-in radio.
TAPE:
Switch to this position when recording using
microphones and playing cassettes.
6. REC SELECT switch (AUTO - M A N U A L )
When you wish to record through the Auto-
matic Level Control circuit, switch to AUTO.
For manual recording, set to M A N U A L .
7. TAPE SELECT switches ( N O R M A L - CrO2)
Switch according to the tape being used.
BIAS switch is for recording only and can be
set to any position during playback.
(Refer to "Tape select switch setting chart"
on page 10.)
8. Recording level controls (REC LEVEL)
In manual recording, these controls
employed to adjust the recording level.
1. Perilla de sintonizacion fina (FINE T U N I N G )
Cuando se estan recibiendo emisiones en onda corta,
esta perilla actua como sintonizador fino. Girar la
perilla hacia la derecha o hacia la izquierda hasta
obtener la mejor sintonfa.

3. Botones de seleccion de Banda (FM, MW, SW1, SW2,
SW3, SW4)
4. Interruptor de energfa (POWER)
Ajustar a la posicion ON para la recepcion de radio y a
la posicion OFF/SLEEP para las otras operaciones,
incluyendo la funcion del indicador de tiempo para ir
a dormir. (Para la funcion del indicador de tiempo para
ir a dormir, referirse a la pagina 16.)
Para apagar el aparato, ajustar el interruptor a la posi-
cion OFF/SLEEP y soltar todas las teclas de opera-
cion de la cinta.
5. Interruptor de Funcion (FUNCTION)
PHONO:
Se debe utilizar esta posicion al escuchar y al grabar de
un giradiscos equipado con un cartucho de tipo MM.
En linea (LINE IN):
Ponga en esta posicion cuando grabe de las bases de
contacto LINE IN.
RADIO:
Esta posicion debera ser colocada cuando se escuche o
se grabe del radio.
Cinta (TAPE):
Ponga en esta posicion cuando grabe usando micro-
fonos y tocando cassettes.
6. Interruptor selector de grabacion (AUTO - MANUAL)
Cuando usted desee grabar a trabes del circuito de
Control de Ganancia Automatico, ponga en AUTO.
Para grabacion manual ponga en MANUAL.
7. Interruptores de Seleccion de Cinta (TAPE SELECT)
(NORMAL -CrO2)
Conmutarde acuerdo a la cinta utilizada. El interruptor
de BIAS es solo para la grabacion y se puede ajustar a
cualquier posicion durante la reproduccion.

8. Control de nivel de grabacion (REC LEVEL)

En grabacion manual, este boton se emplea para ajustar
el nivel de grabacion.
