2 Safety-related information

2.1 Correct use
Safety in operation is only guaranteed if the heat meter
connection set is used correctly.
The heat meter connection set is used for the connection
of individual distribution units (e.g. of separate dwellings)
in heating system with closed water circuit (e.g. central
heating or surface heating systems) and allows for an
automatic differential pressure control (hydronic
balancing) via the differential pressure regulator
"Hycocon DTZ" and the registration of the heat
consumption when upgrading the installation with a
heat meter.
Any use of the heat meter connection set outside the
above applications will be considered as non-compliant
and misuse. Claims of any kind against the manufacturer
and/or his authorised representatives due to damages
caused by incorrect use cannot be accepted.
The observance of the installation and operating
instructions is part of the compliance terms.
2.2 Safety notes
1.
Risk of injury from pressurised components
 Before starting work, make sure that the
system is depressurised.
 The permissible operating pressures must
be observed during operation.
2.
Risk of scalding due to an uncontrolled escape
of hot fluids
 Before starting work, make sure that the
system is depressurised.
 Before starting work, let the appliance cool
down.
 After all work has been completed, check
the appliance for tightness.
 Wear safety goggles.
3.
Risk of burns due to hot components and surfaces
 Before starting work, let the appliance cool
down.
 Wear protective clothing to avoid unprotected
contact with hot system components.
4.
Risk of injury in case of improper work
Stored residual energies, angular components
points and edges at the outside and inside of
the appliance may cause injuries.
 Before starting work, make sure there is
enough space.
 Open and hard-edged components are to
be handled with care.
 Make sure that the work space is tidy and
clean to avoid accidents.

3 Transport, storage and
packaging
3.1 Transport inspection
Upon receipt check delivery for any damages caused
during transit and completeness (illustr. 4 and 5).
Any damage must be reported immediately upon
receipt.
3.2 Storage
The heat meter connection set must only be stored
under the following conditions:
– Do not store in open air, keep dry and free from dust.
– Do not expose to aggressive fluids or heat sources.
– Protect from direct sunlight and mechanical agitation.
– Storage temperature: -20 °C up to +60 °C
– Max. relative humidity of air: 95 %
3.3 Packaging
Packaging material is to be disposed of in an
environmentally friendly manner.
