3. Slide a 1/4-20 x 1/2 in. knob (#20) through the top hole of
the left spark guard (#3), then the remaining hole into the
upper eyeshield bracket (#21). Secure in position.
4. Position the eyeshield to protect the operator and secure
by tightening all the bolts and knobs.
5. Mount the right eyeshield assembly by repeating steps 1 to 4.
DUST COLLECTOR HOSE
The dust collector hose (#15) provides an easy solution to
attaching a shop vacuum system to the grinder.
1. Slide hoses onto sides of T-connector and flanges.
2. Mount the hose by sliding the flanges at each end over the
exhaust ports on the left and right wheel guards.
3. Attach a 2 in. shop vacuum hose to the collector hose. Be
sure hose is mounted securely.
MOUNT GRINDER - PEDESTAL
The hardware to mount the grinder is not included. The pedestal
must be secured to the floor to prevent it from tipping over.
1. Align the grinder's mounting holes with the corresponding
pedestal holes.
2. Slide a flat washer over a 1/4-20 x 1 in. hex head bolt and
insert through the grinder base and pedestal holes.
3. Slide a 1/4 in. flat washer over the end of the bolt and screw
a 1/4-20 in. hex nut onto the bolt end. Tighten until the
space between the grinder base and pedestal is 1/8 in.
4. Screw a second nut onto the bolt and secure against
the first. This will prevent them from loosening due to
the tool's vibration.
5. Repeat steps 1 to 4 for the other three bolt holes.
