STARTING AND OPERATING
ALWAYS DO A VISUAL CHECK that your vehicle
is in PARK by looking for the "P" in the
instrument cluster display and on the gear
selector. As an added precaution, always apply
the parking brake.
If the vehicle is not in PARK and the driver
attempts to turn off the engine, if certain
conditions are met, the vehicle will AutoPark,
automatically shifting the vehicle's
transmission to the PARK position. The rotary
shifter will automatically reset itself to the PARK
position. The vehicle's ignition will then move to
the OFF position (Engine off). When AutoPark is
activated the instrument cluster will display the
message "AutoPark Engaged".

button
If the vehicle is not in PARK and the driver exits
the vehicle with the engine running, if certain
conditions are met, the vehicle will AutoPark,
automatically shifting the vehicle's
transmission to the PARK position. The Electric
Park Brake SAFE HOLD feature will also activate
in some conditions. Refer to "Parking Brake" in
"Starting And Operating" in your Owner's
Manual for further information.
