5-2-6. Cleaning the Tape Running System and Tape Cleaner

Note
The sharp edge of the tape cleaner may cut your hand. Never touch the tape cleaner with bare hands, and
take care when cleaning.

. Cleaning fluid : 9-919-573-01
Procedure
1. Clean the tape running surface (shaded portion) of each guide described below and the edge of the
tape cleaner using the cleaning cloth moistened with cleaning fluid.
S1 to S4 guides, S5 (tension regulator) guide, T1 to T4 guides, capstan, pinch roller

Never touch the tape cleaner with bare hands, as the sharp edge of the tape cleaner may cut your
hand.
2. Remove magnetic powder and other materials between the gap of the tape cleaner using paper.
3. After cleaning, wipe the tape running system and tape cleaner using a dry cleaning cloth.
