1-6. Removing and Reinstalling the
Cassette Compartment

Before performing the following procedure, be sure to turn
off the main power and unplug the power cord or remove
the battery.
Removal
1. Move the reel table to the center position.
(Refer to Maintenance Manual Part 2, Volume 1.)
2. Remove the four screws (B3 x 6) on the sides of the
unit.
3. Disconnect the connector CN957 (connected to the
motor) from the MB-825 board.
4. Remove the cassette compartment.

Reinstallation Precautions
. When reattaching the cassette compartment to the unit,
be careful not to pinch the harness that connects the
connector panel and the front panel.
. Reattach the cassette compartment to the chassis so that
the two cassette guide pins go through the round hole of
the stage.

Removal
1. Remove the top panel, handle, front panel, bottom
panel, battery case and cassette compartment. (Refer to
Section "1-5. Removing and Reinstalling the Cabinet"
and Section "1-6. Removing and Reinstalling the
Cassette Compartment".)
2. Disconnect the connectors CN551, CN552 and CN553
of the ADA-44 board, and remove the clamper.
3. Remove the video board assembly.
(Refer to Maintenance Manual Part 2, Volume 1.)
4. Disconnect the connectors CN101, CN105, CN106,
CN108 to CN110, CN112 and CN113 of the SST-13
board.
5. Disconnect the connectors CN921, CN923 and CN930
of the MB-825 board and disconnect the connectors
CN601 and CN912 of the DC/DC converter.
6. Remove the four screws (B3 x 6) and remove the
connector panel.

Reinstallation Precaution
After reattaching the connector panel, perform the tape run
adjustment. (Refer to Maintenance Manual Part 2, Volume
1.)
