Troubleshooting

WARNING
To reduce the risk of electric shock, turn power switch OFF and disconnect plug from electrical
outlet before performing maintenance or troubleshooting checks.
Problem
Possible causes
Filter is dirty.
Main Hose is not connected.
Crack or hole in the main Hose.
Clog in the Floor Tool.
Vacuum

Clog in the Filter.
Clog in the vacuum.
Filter is not seated correctly.
Dirt Container is full.
Dirt is

Remedies
Remove and rinse Filter. Allow
enough time to dry properly before
reinserting.
Reconnect the main Hose by
pushing the hose connection to
secure latch.
If there is a crack or hole, order a
new hose from www.BISSELL.com.
Remove debris and any other
entanglements that may be
restricting its rotation.
Remove the Dirt Container Filter
assembly and tap it over a rubbish
bin to remove any dirt or debris
from the cyclone screen that
surrounds the filter.
Check to see if there are any clogs
in the Suction Inlet.
Ensure the Filter black portion of the
filter is completely on the lip of the
metal drum.
Empty the Dirt Container.
Check to see if Filter is in place.
Ensure the Filter basket is sitting
completely on the wall of the Dirt
Container all the way around.
