2. Designed purpose of use The AVANT Grain/flour dispenser bucket is an attachment that is suitable for use with AVANT multi purpose loaders that are shown in Table 1. It is intended for distributing flour, crushed grain, or similar materials of feed in granule form.
7 (32) 3. Safety instructions for using the bucket Please bear in mind that safety is the result of several factors. The loader-attachment combination is highly powerful and improper or careless use or maintenance may cause serious personal injury or property damage.

8 (32) Before starting the dispenser bucket, make sure that there are no foreign objects in the bucket that could be ejected from the attachment or that could damage the equipment. Be sure not to tilt the bucket too far up to prevent material from spilling from the WARNING bucket.

9 (32) Risk of crushing and severing of limbs - Always stop the attachment before going near it. Going near a running attachment creates a risk of crushing and severing of hands or feet because of rotating auger and related components. Always follow safe DANGER stopping procedure.

10 (32) Remember to wear proper personal protective equipment: The noise level at the driver's seat may exceed 85 dB(A) depending on loader model and operating cycle. Extended exposure to loud noise can cause hearing impairment. Wear hearing protection while working with the loader. ...

Do not stay in the area between the attachment and the loader. Mount the attachment only on level surface. WARNING Never move or lift an attachment that has not been locked. Avant quick coupling system: Step 1: Lift the quick attach plate locking pins up and turn them backwards into the slot so that they are locked in the upper position.
5.1 Connecting and disconnecting hydraulic hoses On Avant loaders the hydraulic hoses are connected using the multi connector system. If you have an Avant 300-700 series loader with the conventional quick couplers and wish to change to the multi connector system, contact your Avant dealer or service point for instructions or installation services.

15 (32) Keep all fittings as clean as possible; use the protective caps on both the attachment and the loader. Dirt, ice, etc. may make using the fittings significantly more difficult. Never leave the hoses hanging on the ground; place the couplings onto the holder on the attachment.
16 (32) 5.2 Electric connection Electric functions of the attachment: The Grain/flour dispenser bucket is available either manual or with hydraulic side hatch adjustment. When the bucket is equipped with hydraulic side hatch adjustment, it needs an electric supply from the loader in order to operate.

17 (32) If your loader is equipped with the attachment control switch pack, and the loader is manufactured after 2016: If the loader is equipped with the attachment control switch pack, and the electric socket integrated in the multiconnector, the electric harness of the attachment is connected when the multiconnector coupled.
18 (32) 6. Using the bucket Practise the use of the attachment and its controls in an open and safe area. If you are unfamiliar with the loader in use, it is recommended to practise its use without any attachments. Risk of entanglement - Always stop the attachment before leaving the driver’s seat.
19 (32) Risk of crushing - Ensure that the parking brake of the loader is engaged when working near the attachment. Use additional blocks if needed. Whenever possible, lower WARNING the attachment firmly on the ground. Risk of falling from height and crushing under bucket or loader - Never use a bucket as a lifting platform or to carry people.
20 (32) 6.2 Checks before use Drive carefully on uneven terrain and note the effect of heavy load at the front of the loader to the stability and handling of the loader. Check that the attachment is intact and that the rotating parts can rotate freely, and that there is no ...
21 (32) 6.3.1 Using the dispenser/hydraulic side hatch Move the auxiliary hydraulics control lever to its locking position when ready to start operating the dispenser to the right or to lift the selected hydraulic hatch. Operate the dispenser bucket with moderate engine rpm and with one-pump setting of the auxiliary hydraulics (if loader is equipped with two auxiliary hydraulic pumps).
22 (32) 6.3.2 Using the hydraulic side hatch The actual hatch operation is controlled with auxiliary hydraulics control lever. First, the desired hatch must be selected with hatch control valve manually. Then, the selection between hatch and auger function has to be made as instructed below.
23 (32) 6.3.3 Using the manual side hatch Adjust the hatch opening with manual lever (1) as shown in the adjacent figure. Lock the lever with locking pin (2). 6.3.4 Filling the bucket The bucket can be filled from a pile like a normal bucket. Correct working method is important when lifting material from a pile, as lifting material from a pile requires the most power from the loader.

25 (32) 6.4 Transport position When driving with loader, keep Grain/Flour dispenser bucket in approximately upright position and close to the loader as shown in adjacent figure. Adjust the drive speed according to the operating conditions and surface. Always drive slowly while operating the bucket.

26 (32) Correct storage position: To ensure the stability of the bucket, always store it in position shown in adjacent figure. Empty at least most of the material from the bucket before storage.
Finding any fault means that the hydraulic hose or component must be replaced and the equipment must not be used until it is repaired. 28 (32) 7.2 Cleaning the attachment Clean the attachment regularly to prevent accumulation of dirt which is more difficult to remove. A pressure washer and mild detergent can be used for cleaning. Do not use strong solvents, and do not spray directly at the hydraulic components, or at the labels on the attachment.
29 (32) 8. Warranty terms Avant Tecno Oy grants a warranty of one year (12 months) from the date of purchase for the attachment it manufactures. The warranty covers repair costs as follows: Work costs are covered, if the repair is not performed at the factory.
