Transportation and packaging Store the original packaging for transportation at a later date. Dallmeier electronic is not responsible for damage resulting from unprofessional/improper transportation. The goods should only be shipped in their original packaging. -

(DIS, DLS, DMS, DVS). Its powerful CPU enables a smooth video display with high image quality in up to 6 independent splits. The connection between PVS IV and one or more Dallmeier recorders is realised via an IP based network (ISDN optional). All necessary hardware and software is already installed and pre-configured. -

PView Station PVS IV Installation and mounting The PVS IV is designed for stand-alone operation. As an option it may also be installed in a 19’’ standard rack. Requirements at the installation site Unfavorable local conditions may shorten the life of the product or lead to malfunctions. -

PView Station PVS IV Installation in a 19’’ standard rack The PVS IV can be installed in a 19’’ standard rack using a 19’’ bracket (optional). 1 Place the PVS IV into the bracket. 2 Pay attention to the case feet that must fit into the notches (A). -

The main board’s DVI output (12) is not suitable for a VGA adapter. Commissioning Ø Switch on the periphal devices, if necessary. Ø Connect the supplied dongle to a USB port on the PVS IV. Ø Connect the power supply. Ø Switch on the PVS IV. Dallmeier electronic... - Page 15 Automatic start from the software PView and PGuard. NOTE A dialog requesting to enter the serial number will be displayed when the Dallmeier software is starting if the licence dongle is not connected accurately. If the dialog to enter the serial number is displayed, proceed as follows: Ø Close the dialog Hardlock-Dongle unlocking with Cancel.

PView Station PVS IV Configuration Periphery Peripheral devices (printer, keyboard, etc.) have to be connected and installed with the current drivers according to the manufactures guidelines. NOTE Note the documentation of the operating system and peripheral devices. Monitors Ø Open the desktop context menu by right-clicking on the desktop. -

To configure other monitors proceed analog as above. Fig. 7-2 Software The PView, PGuard and SmartGUI software is already installed on the PVS IV. It finally has to be configured for the particular application. NOTE Please refer to the according manuals for detailed information on the installed software (PView, PGuard etc.). -

PView Station PVS IV Maintenance Changing the filter mat and possibly occasional cleaning of the housing are the only main- tenance work that you have to carry out at your system. 8.1 Changing the filter mat A filter mat is positioned behind the front panel in front of the intake fan. This filter mat pre- vents dirt particles in the ambient air from entering the unit. -
