Overview
The RUGGEDCOM APE1808 (Application Processing Engine) is an x64-based comput-
er designed to occupy a single line module slot in a RUGGEDCOM RX15xx device. The
RUGGEDCOM APE1808 can host a variety of x64-based operating systems and fea-
tures Gigabit Ethernet, USB ports and a Display port.
The following RUGGEDCOM APE1808 modules are available:

Operating System
Each RUGGEDCOM APE1808 module comes with a pre-installed operating system.

Upgrading or Changing the Operating System
The operating system can be upgraded or extended as needed. It can also be
changed to an alternative software platform, such as Linux Mint or Ubuntu.
