Nuisance Alarms

A smoke alarm sounding for no reason can be both disconcerting and frustrating. FireAngel
smoke alarms are manufactured to the highest standards to minimise the chances of nuisance
alarms.
The FireAngel WST-630 features a Thermoptek® sensor which is proven to be less prone to
nuisance alarms as a result of cooking and it often referred to as 'toast-proof'. However if your
WST-630 smoke alarm does happen to trigger and you are certain there is no smoke present, try
taking the following steps.

1. Identify the Triggered Alarm

If your WST-630 smoke alarm is interlinked with other smoke/heat alarms, all connected alarms
will trigger when one alarm senses smoke or false alarms.
The LED light on the alarm that triggered will flash once per second while sounding 2 cycles of
3 loud beeps. On connected alarms, the LED will flash once every 45 seconds while sounding 2
cycles of 3 loud beeps.

This will put the unit into reduced sensitivity mode for 10 minutes. During this period of reduced sensitivity your alarm(s) will still detect smoke and will override the smart silence feature if high levels of smoke or heat reach their sensors.
