Step 2 Set Jumpers

A jumper is a component on the motherboard with two to six pins rising from it. A shorting bridge is designed
to fit on two of the jumper pins. You should have a supply of shorting bridges. Configure motherboard
features by arranging the shorting bridges on the jumpers, or by removing the shorting bridge entirely.
When the jumper has no shorting bridges installed on it, it is said to be OPEN. The jumper descriptions
instruct you to short Pins 1-2 or Pins 3-4, etc. Pin 1 is always identified by a "1" printed on the
motherboard. Pins are numbered consecutively.
Do not change any jumper settings that are not described in this manual. The
Apollo motherboard has more jumpers than are described in this section.
