2-5. Setting for Hyper Terminal

Performs the initial start setting as to Hyper Terminal.
1. Start the Hyper Terminal of Windows.
2. Type a new connection name (example; "SNC-Z20")
in the box, select icon.
3. Click OK button.
4. Select port that is connected between PC and SNC-
Z20N/Z20P from the "Connection Method (N)".

Normally, there is no problem by selecting at
"COM1". However, there is differing in case of PC
configurations.
5. Communication state is set as follows.
Communication speed 9600 bps
Data bit
Varity
Stop bit
Flow control
Setting is completed as above-mentioned.

To start this communication state at next time, save this
setting state. That is, click "File" tag on the File menu,
clicks "Save" and type the File name on the File name box.
Then, save this setting state.

2-6. Update of Software

For update of software, there are two methods as follows.
. Test mode:
Using the PC card and serial
communications
. Normal mode: Using the PC card and CGI mode

2-6-1. Debug Mode

Required Equipment
. Alarm input/output and serial communication IF board
(IF-954 board): J-6433-101-A
. SNC-Z20 Modify Tool software (J-6433-110-A)
. Personal computer (Hereafter referred to as PC)
. Power supply for SNC-Z20N/Z20P
(24 VAC or 12 V DC, 9 W or more)
. Power supply for IF-954 board (5 V DC, 100 mA)
. Network cable (UTP CAT5 cross cable)
(for confirmation)
. Memory Stick (16 MB or more)
. PC Card adaptor (MSAC-PC3)
Preparation
1. Remove the lower cover of the SNC-Z20N/Z20P.
(Refer to Section 1-2-1.)
2. Connect each equipment according to the figure in
Section 2-1-2 in the power off state.
(However, do not connect the color monitor.)
3. Set the DIP switch S602 to test mode of the SY-310
board.
Normal mode
4. Attach the PC card adaptor in which a Memory Stick
(the updating program is written) is inserted to the PC
card slot of SNC-Z20N/Z20P.

Do not write the updating program in the folder that
already exists in the Memory Stick.
The updating program consists of the two folders,
"web" and "system". When writing it in the Memory
Stick, do not change the configuration of folders.
5. Turn on the power of each equipment.
6. Check that the power indicator (green) of SNC-Z20N/
Z20P is blinking (indicating the test mode).
7. Check the clock on PC is set correctly at date and time.
If incorrectly, set them to correctly.

The information of date and time of PC are set to RTC
of SNC-Z20N/Z20P.
8. When the SNC-Z20 Modify Tool software is not
installed in PC, install it.
