Orbital motor service

1. Orbital motor with service points
(a) Orbital motor base
(b) Relief valves – comprising:
I. valve pin
II. valve spring
III. spring seat
IV. copper washer/seal
V. plugging
VI. relief adjuster (Allen head)
The two relief valves ensure that orbital
motor will not get over-loaded.
(b1) Keep track of spring load by
checking Allen screw position
by means of callipers
(b2) Adjust relief pressure by means of
a 4mm Allen wrench:
– clockwise for higher relief pres-
sure
– counter-clockwise for lower relief
pressure
(b3) Remove relief valve by means of a
14mm socket wrench.
2. Dismantling sequence valve block (c)
Clean thoroughly before disassembling.
• remove hollow fasteners by means of
a 22mm spanner
DISASSEMBLING SEQUENCE
VALVE PISTON
(d) sequence – valve comprising:
I. valve pin
II. valve spring (2)
III. copper washer/seal
IV. plugging with Allen adjuster
The sequence valve will ensure a bal-
anced bi-directional flow through the
orbital motor.
REASSEMBLING
Simply reverse the above steps.
