REMOVING ADAPTOR PLATE
1. PREPARATIONS
• Position shearers vertically, hanging
or attached to stick of a DXR ma-
chine. Cutting jaws may be mounted.
• Clean unit thoroughly.
• Remove two hydraulic hose coup-
lings (I) for orbital motor:
– use a 22 mm spanner
– plug hydraulic openings
2. Orbital motor housing fasteners
• remove 14 fasteners with one friction
washer
– Allen key: 8mm
• remove 2 less accessible fasteners
with double friction washers
– Allen key: 8mm
Reassembling: use thread locking compound
T1 (Medium) to all above fasteners.
Tightening torque: 89 Nm
3. Place shearer unit on a sturdy work
bench
4. Remove shearer cylinder hydraulic
couplings
II. stabilise shearer unit by means of a
piece of wood
– use two spanners: 30 and 27 mm
– plug hydraulic openings
5. Remove centre round headed fasten-
er
• use hot air gun to loosen thread
locking compound
• Allen key: 8mm
Reassembling: use thread locking compound
T1 (Medium) to all above fasteners.
Tightening torque: 89 Nm
6. Remove remaining adaptor plate
fasteners
• Allen key: 8mm
• use special shallow 30mm Allen key
to loosen corners
Reassembling: use thread locking compound
T1 (Medium) to all above fasteners.
Tightening torque: 89 Nm
