In conjunction with a cylinder of type DGP(L)-..., the potentiometer type MLO-POT-...-TFL and a proportional directional control valve type MPYE-5-... , the SPC-10 can move at speed to one of two end positions set with fixed stops. The end position cushioning is regulated electronically.
  • Page 13 1. Summary of system With the SPC-10, movement from one fixed stop to the other is closed-loop regulated. During commissioning, the end positions (position of the fixed stops) are ”taught” by the SPC-10. During operation it then en- sures that the slide moves at the highest possible speed into the programmed end positions under closed- loop control.

You must observe the following instructions in order to prevent such collisions. – The SPC-10 "teaches" the position of the fixed stops by means of the Teach process. The Teach process must be carried out during the first commissioning and always when the fixed stops have been read- justed or when components and tubing are replaced.
  • Page 56 4. Commissioning Teach During the Teach process, the SPC-10 at first carries process out an automatic system identification run. During this system identification, characteristic values such as fric- tion and hysteresis are determined. The Teach process should be carried out with maximum mass load.
