Pendulum Installation
Pendulum Installation
MTS provides a host of pendulums with different energies. You can select the
required pendulum based on test requirements and standards.
Based on relevant standards and requirements, the energy consumed to
break the specimen should be within 10%~80% of the pendulum's maximum
energy. When pendulums of different specifications are available, you are
advised to use the pendulum with maximum energy for testing.
Place the pendulum horizontally on the support structure (which can be a small
cart or table high enough), loosen the locking screws to separate the plug,
connect the pendulum shaft hole with the shaft, and then fasten the locking plug
and pendulum. Finally, remove the support structure.
★ Note: The pendulum installation direction is shown in the following figure.
★ Note: After the pendulum is installed, be sure to check whether the
installation is correct; otherwise, it may incur serious consequences.
★ Note: During equipment inspection, pay attention to whether the locking
screws on the pendulum shaft is loose.
★ Note: Do not add parts to or reduce parts from the pendulum device;
otherwise, pendulum parameters may change, hence affecting test results.
Replace the blade: Rotate the pendulum to a certain angle, fix it, and loosen M8
screws. Then, take out the old blade and replace it with a new one. After that,
slightly tighten M8 screws, rotate the pendulum to align with the span alignment
block, and fasten M8 screws.
