No protection from overload
An overload of the brake resistor during operation
cannot be excluded.
Possible consequences:
The brake resistor overheats and will be
ƒ
damaged.
The drive will not be decelerated but coasts.
ƒ
Protective measures:
The thermal contact of the brake resistor must
ƒ
always be connected.
Implement the thermal contact into the system
ƒ
monitoring so that the mains supply of the
standard device will be switched off in case the
brake resistor will be overheated (e.g. switch off
mains contactor control).
