Switching on load management
The charging systems Basic 22 and Basic S 22 have
simple load management that can be activated as needed.
In delivery status this is deactivated; it can be activated via
disconnect terminals XT3 and XT4.
XT3 opened: Load management is active on charging
point 2.
XT3 closed: Load management is not active on charging
point 2.
XT4 opened: Load management is active on charging
point 1.
XT4 closed: Load management is not active on charging
point 1.
The following configurations can be set with terminals XT3
and XT4:
XT4 opened
XT3 opened
LP1 = 22/11 kW
LP2 = 22/11 kW
XT3 closed
LP1 = 22/11 kW
LP2 = 22 kW
LP1 = charging point 1 (left)
LP2 = charging point 2 (right)

6. Commissioning

6.1

Electric shock hazard when devices are damaged
Use of a damaged device may result in electric shock.
f Do not use the device if it is damaged.
f Mark the damaged device to ensure that no one

6.2 Checking the device

Prior to the initial setting-up process, carry out an

inspection of the charging station in accordance with
IEC 60364-6 and the applicable national regulations (e.g. in
Germany DIN VDE 0100-600). The test can be carried out
in connection with the MENNEKES test box and a standard-
compliant test equipment. The MENNEKES test box
simulates vehicle communication. Test boxes are available
as accessories from MENNEKES.
f Perform a standard test before the device release.

The tasks described in this section may only be
carried out by a qualified electrician.
