f Connect the foundation earth electrode to the earthing
point in the charging column according to DIN 18014.
f Connect the earthing wire to the front plate.
f Close the charging column.
The supply line is now connected and the charging
9
column can be put into operation.

5.3.2 Connecting external transducers

In addition to the terminal block for the supply voltage, two
additional relays (KF1 and KF2) are provided for connecting
external transducers (e.g. for connecting a pay and display
ticket machine).

f If present, connect external transducers to the relay:
KF1 = charging point left side,
KF2 = charging point right side.
Î "4. Technical Data"
External transducers must be interconnected to the
respective relay with 230 V AC (optionally possible:
12 V DC or 24 V DC).
„ Terminal block XT opened -
release only via continuous signal:
Ending the charge through external shutdown is
possible.
The key-operated push-button has no function in this
mode.
„ Terminal block XT closed -
release only through pulse signal:
Latched charging, shutdown on the vehicle. No external
shutdown possible.
In this mode, the key-operated push-button may be
used for authorisation, as the key
likewise sends a pulse signal when actuated.

5.4 Load management (only Basic 22 / S 22)

The charging systems Basic 22 and Basic S 22 have
simple load management Load management can be
activated at installation as needed.
If only a limited connected load is available, distribution
to the individual charging points must be regulated, to
ensure adequate supply of both charging points. Load
management handles this task easily and conveniently.
If only one vehicle will be charged, then the full charging
current is available. If an additional vehicle is added,
it is possible that the available connected load will be
exceeded. In this case load management intervenes
For example, at a connected load of 22 kW, it is possible
to operate one charging point with 22 kW or both charging
points with 11 kW. Adaptation occurs automatically with acti-
vated load management. Through this measure exceeding
the available connected load and tripping the back-up fuse
are avoided.
