    Startup Operating modes Operating modes The compact extra-low voltage drive can be operated in the following 3 modes: • Speed control • Positioning • Absolute positioning Select the operating mode during the startup procedure using the DCAShell engineer- ing software. 6.4.1 Setting the operating mode Always use the DCAShell engineering software to set the required operating mode.

On delivery, each parameter has a predefined value for rapid startup. You can change the values if they do not match your application.

The Y values represent the speed (min ) on the Y-axis. These values are clearly visible in the following figure. For the speed, only positive val- ues are possible.

The following example shows an offset between 0 V and 1 V, as well as between 9 V and 10 V. The speed characteristics is significantly steeper.
