Entering Setup

AMI BIOS:
AMI BIOS has been integrated into many motherboards for over a decade. With the
AMI BIOS Setup Utility, users can modify BIOS settings and control various system
features. This chapter describes the basic navigation of the BIOS Setup Utility. AMI's
BIOS ROM has a built-in Setup program that allows users to modify the basic system
configuration. This information is stored in flash ROM so it retains the Setup informa-
tion when the power is turned off.
To enter the BIOS setup screens, follow the steps below:
1. Power on the motherboard.
2. Press the Delete or Esc key on your keyboard when you see the following text
prompt: Press Delete or Esc to enter setup.
3. After you press the Delete key, the main BIOS setup menu displays. You can
access the other BIOS function settings.

Description
The Left and Right < > keys allow you to select a BIOS setup page. For
example: Main page, Advanced page, Chipset page, and so on.
The Up and Down < > keys allow you to select a BIOS setup item or sub-
screen.
The Plus and Minus keys allow you to change the field value of a particu-
lar setup item. For example: Date and Time.
The <F1> key allows you to display the General Help screen. Press the
<F1> key to open the General Help screen.
Load Previous Values. Ignore modified configures.
Load Optimized Defaults.
