Installation

The device must be installed
and started-up by an authorised
serviceman.
A double-jacked cylinder has to
be installed on an open vented
central heating system only.
(max. jacket pressure should not
exceed 0,15Mpa).
A domestic hot water cylinder
heated directly by the coil of
solid fuel cooker must be in-
stalled in an open vented central
heating system and protected
against the excessive pressure
by expansion vessel and fittings
in accordance with binding law
regulations.

Mounting
• the device is designed for horizontal installation only,
• must be connected to the water supply and central heating system after mounting,
• pipes connection should be made in accordance with diagram in this installation instruction. Failure to observe the
installation instruction may invalidate the warranty and cause damage,
• the device must be mounted in the place and in such a way to avoid room flooding caused by leaking tank or con-
nectors.

Connection to the central heating system

• device must be fitted to the central heating system by pipe unions (1¼''), the cut-off valves should be installed before
the pipe unions,
• appropriate rate of domestic hot water flow need to be ensured (described on page 3, below the table) to obtain
desired efficiency (described on page 3). It concerns the forced circulation installation (with a water pump),
• device need to be placed to get the high difference ( at least 1,5m) between a heat sources and cylinder. It concerns
the gravity circulation installation,
• example scheme of water supply system is shown in fig. 1a, 1b.
Connection to the water supply system
Connection to the water supply system must be made in accordance with binding law regulation.
It is a pressure device designed for connection to the water supply system. The max. system pressure should
not exceed 0,6 MPa. Install the pressure reducing valve if the system pressure is higher than 0,6 Mpa.
The device need to be connected to the water supply system in the following way:
- screw safety valve (e.g. ZB-4) to the 3/4'' connector [1] (fig.2) using the reducing union in accordance with a direc-
tion as indicated by arrow located on valve body.
It's not allowed to install the cut-off valve (or any flow reducer) either between cylinder and safety valve or on
the outlet. The safety valve must be installed on visible location for easy and fast leakage control.
- install the wye with a drain valve between a cylinder and the safety valve,
- connect a cylinder to the water supply system,
- install the cut-off valve on cold water inlet.
Domestic hot water inlet has to be fitted to the 3/4'' connector [2] located on top of the cylinder (fig.2).
Each hot water cylinder is equipped with 3/4'' [19] connector to connect to the domestic hot water circulation
system.
