Cleaning and disinfecting the WristOx
, model 3150 oximeter

Wipe the device with a soft cloth dampened with a 10% bleach/90% water solution (household bleach [containing less than 10%
sodium hypochlorite]). Do not use undiluted bleach or any cleaning solution other than those recommended here, as permanent
damage could result. Dry with a soft cloth, or allow to air dry. Clean once per week or more frequently if handled by multiple users.
CAUTION: Do not place the WristOx
, Model 3150, in liquid or clean it with agents containing ammonium chloride or isopropyl alcohol

Unplug the sensor from the pulse oximeter before cleaning. To clean the sensor, wipe all patient contact surfaces with a soft cloth
dampened with a mild detergent, isopropyl alcohol, or a 10% bleach/90% water solution (household bleach [containing less than 10%
sodium hypochlorite]). Allow the sensor to dry thoroughly before using.
Note: To minimize cable deterioration when cleaning the cable, gently wipe away from the plug end towards the sensor end.
CAUTION:
• Do not use a damaged sensor. If the sensor is damaged, discontinue use immediately.
• Do not sterilize, autoclave or immerse in liquid of any kind. Do not pour or spray any liquids onto the sensor.
• Do not use caustic or abrasive cleaning agents on the sensor. Do not use cleaning agents containing ammonium chloride. Use of
these chemicals may shorten the life of the product.
• Refer to the pulse oximeter operator´s manual for additional warnings and cautions.

The wristband is designed for single-patient use. If it needs to be cleaned, hand wash with a mild detergent (see note) in cool water
(30 °C/86 °F). Allow to air dry. Do not machine wash or dry. The wrist band will shrink if placed in a dryer.
NOTE:
Mild detergents, such as hand and dish washing liquid detergents, dissolve dirt and grease. To clean washable surfaces, use in a
solution of warm water.
CAUTION: Use a detergent that is safe for skin and washable surfaces. Most detergents can be high sudsing, so use sparingly.
Wipe with a damp, detergent free cloth to remove residue.
