Malfunctions
Motor does not run
Vibrations
Running noise
High motor temperatures
Motor temperature monitoring is activated

As a matter of principle, the instructions in the project planning and commis‐
sioning manuals must be followed in case of failures and errors. Contact the
manufacturer, if necessary.
Error cause
Controller enable signal missing
Controller fault
Voltage supply missing
Brake is not released
Coupling elements or attachments are poorly
balanced
Adjustment of shaft end attachments (cou‐
pling, gearbox, ...) is insufficient
Mounting screws loose
Foreign bodies within the motor
Bearing is damaged
Operation outside of rated data
Heat dissipation is impaired
Temperature sensor not connected
Temperature sensor defective

Activate controller enable signal
Troubleshoot acc. to documentation of con‐
troller
Control voltage supply
Check the brake activation
Re-balance
Re-align the attachments
Lock screw connections acc. to specifica‐
tions
Stop the motor --> repair by manufacturer
Stop the motor --> repair by manufacturer
Reduce load and check the dimensioning
Clean the motor
Connect temperature sensor
Stop the motor --> repair by manufacturer
Connect the backup temperature sensor, if
any is available.
