Radiometer check abnormally low /high

1. During the radiometer check ensure that the emitting end of the light guide is fully inserted
into the radiometer port and that the correct adapter is being used.
2. With the unit powered up and from the main menu, press the Radiomtr: key. Depress the
Max: key and insert the emitting end of the light guide fully into the radiometer port.
Depress the Cont: key then the OK: key from the next menu. Verify that the display reads
"Light source=Max". If the display reads something other than Max:, after selecting
Max as the measurement mode, refer to section 15.2.
3. Ensure the correct light guide diameter has been selected. See section 5.9 for more details.
4. Open the unit as per instructions in section 11.3. Ensure that a properly calibrated radiometer
is in place with all securement hardware present.
5. Verify that the I/O cable for the radiometer is plugged in.
6. Verify that the radiometer is within calibration specifications. Calibration date and required
date appear on a tag attached to the radiometer.
7. Close the unit as per instructions in section 11.4.
8. Ensure that the ON/OFF shutter is opening and that the lamp module has powered up. If
either are not functioning properly, refer to section 12.4 and section 12.5 respectively.
9. If a spare lamp housing drawer is available, install a new lamp housing drawer. Check that
the unit operates properly. If the unit still fails to operate, refer to section 15.2.

Fan does not work properly

1. Open the unit as per section 11.3.
2. Ensure that the fan power cable connector is properly terminated at the fan and at the system
PCB. (The system PCB is located on the lamp divider wall and the fan connector is located at
the top right corner of the system PCB, labeled as P201. )
3. If the fan is not functional but the unit otherwise performs properly, do not use the unit, refer
to section 15.2.
