When you should download data

Data downloading must be done when the "Memory almost full. Do a history
download or data will be lost" message appears, or once for each 1000 hours
operating time. If you ignore the error message, the Novacure continues writing new
performance history data over the previous history data. The previous data is then no longer
accessible.
8.4

Performing a History Download

1. Turn power on to the Novacure unit, (if it is not already on).
2. Launch the Opto Link 2100 Software.
3. Connect the 9-pin serial cable between the 9-pin socket connector of the Novacure unit and
the COM Port of the PC if it is not already connected.
4. Under Communication, click on Connect. The connected LED will light when a connection is
made.
5. Under Data Logging, click on Download History.
The download History screen appears
6. Click on Download History.
7. The Software will begin downloading the history information from the unit. Status bars will
show the progress at the bottom left corner. When the downloading is finished, a message
box will appear.
8. Click OK to clear the message box.
9. Highlight the data that you want to save. Click on Copy to Clipboard to save the information
to the clipboard. The history data can now be pasted from the clipboard into another software.
10. Click on Print to print the data to the selected printer.
11. Click on Close to close the download history screen
12. Click on Disconnect to return user access to the Novacure unit.
13. Click on Exit to exit Opto Link 2100 software.
Note: The 9-pin serial cable can remain connected to the Novacure unit, while Opto Link 2100
software is not active to make future history downloads more convenient.
