Setup #3: Dose
Features to note When you set a dose value, the Novacure automatically calculates and sets
intensity and exposure time values that enable it to efficiently produce the desired dose. If you
modify either the register's desired intensity or if the lamp module's maximum available intensity
decreases, the Novacure automatically increases the exposure time to enable it to produce the
desired dose. Similarly, if you modify the exposure time value, the Novacure will automatically
calculate and set the necessary intensity needed to produce the desired dose. Any intensity or time
value modified by the user which does not meet the maximum and minimum allowed values will
not be accepted and must be re-entered. Note that if the mode of operation is set to "toggle" or
"Extim", the Novacure cannot regulate the dose setting. Only the intensity will be regulated. See
Sections 5.6 and 9.1 for more detail.

Insert the light guide into the radiometer port as a safety precaution. Safely fixtured light guides, however, do not need
to be repositioned.

Both shutters fully open, enabling the Novacure to measure the full available light output.
The Novacure's output intensity is measured at the light guide entrance, not at the light guide exit or radiometer.
3. Read and note the maximum available intensity as shown on the display and press Cont:.
