3-3-4. VBS CHROMA Level Adjustment
Tools
. Master setup unit:
MSU-700A, or MSU-750
. Waveform/Vector monitor:
Tektronix 1750A or equivalent (for
NTSC)
Tektronix 1751A or equivalent (for
PAL)
. Extension board:
EX-854
(Sony Part No.: A-8344-228-A)
Preparations
1. Turn OFF the power of the unit, and extend the VA-
220 board using the EX-854 board.
2. Connect the Waveform/Vector monitor to the VIDEO-
1 OUTPUT connector.
3. Turn ON the power of the unit and peripheral equip-
ment, and warm them up for about ten minutes.
4. Menu setting:
MENU: Setup
WF SEQ → 4
ITEM:
BARS → CB1
5. MSMSU-700A/750 setting:
BARS button → ON (Lit)
PICTURE MONITOR button → ENC (Lit)
Adjustment Procedure
Equipment:
Vector monitor
Test Point:
VIDEO-1 OUTPUT connector
Adjustment Point: 1RV206/VA-220 board
Specifications:
The luminescent spot should be
located inside "4".
