1-4-1. Installing/Replacing Power Unit

The power unit is installed or replaced by Sony service.
Installing or replacing power unit by a user is not covered
under the guarantee.
Power Unit part number for installation/
replacement:
Power Unit (Part No. A-8347-459-A)
Installing/Replacing the power unit when
operating redundantly with two power units.
SIU-100/100T can be operated redundantly.
Though SIU-100 has only one power unit before shipment,
it can be operated redundantly as the SIU-100T by install-
ing optional power unit.
When operating redundantly, even if one of the power
units is switched OFF/ON, it will be able to operate
continuously with another power unit. When replacing one
of the power units while operating with another power
unit, be sure to unplug and turn off the power unit to be
replaced first and then replace it.
Carry out the following setup (or confirmation) after
removing or installing the power unit. If the setting differs
from the actual situation, a power error message is dis-
played.
(1) Switch the power ON.
(2) Simultaneously press the three keys: ENTER, CAN-
CEL and ←. The power-on status screen appears and
"PSU CONFIG" is displayed.
(3) Change the display with the +/_ key to match power
unit(s) installed.
When operating with both power units A and B,
change the display to "PSU CONFIG A & B"
When operating with only power unit A, change the
display to "PSU CONFIG A ONLY"
When operating with only power unit B, change the
display to "PSU CONFIG B ONLY"
(4) Press CANCEL to return to the normal status.
SIU-100/100T
1. Installing the power unit
There is the blank panel over the slot for power unit B on
the SIU-100. When installing the power unit in this slot,
remove the blank panel and use the same screws that
secured the blank panel.
(1) Removing the front panel
Loosen the four screws from the front panel. Each
screw has a stopper. Turn the screws a few times, and
pull the front panel holding the screws to remove.
(2) Installing the power unit
Switch the power unit OFF, push the unit in as far as it
will go, and secure it with two screws.

(3) Installing the front panel
Secure the front panel with four screws.
(4) Confirming operation
Connect the power cord, and power on the unit. Then
check that the power LED is lit and the unit operation
is normal.
