QuickCarrier ® USB-D Cellular Dongle Cat M1
Dual Carrier Firmware for Cellular Radio
This device uses a cellular radio with dual firmware meaning that it can be
used on two different carrier networks (not simultaneously). The device
can be used on either the Verizon or AT&T/other networks. The device is
configured for AT&T/others by default.
To check that your device is configured for the desired network:
AT#FWSWITCH?
■
If response is: #FWSWITCH: 0 The device is configured for
AT&T/other networks.
■ If response is: #FWSWITCH: 1 The device is configured for
Verizon.
To switch carrier networks:
■ From AT&T to Verizon: AT#FWSWITCH=1,1
■
From Verizon to AT&T: AT#FWSWITCH=0,1
Powering Off or Rebooting the Device
To power off your device:
1. If you are in a data session, terminate it.
2. Send AT#SHDN command to shut down the modem.
3. Wait for 10 seconds.
4. Power off computer or unplug the device.
Note: If you need to reboot the device, use the AT+CFUN=4
command. Wait 60-70 seconds for the MTD software to restart the
device.
Turning the Device On
This USB-powered device does not have a power button. Connecting the
device to a computer's USB port turns it on.
After plugging in the device, wait at least 10 seconds for it to initialize and
register with the carrier network. If you are looking at the device, the Link
LED remains off even though power is present.
