After each use: Disconnect the plug from the power source, remove the wheel and washers and wipe deposits
of dust from the housing and guard. Check operation and condition of the lower guard, it should be securely
attached and working properly. The cord and tool should be wiped occasionally with a clean cloth and mild
soap only to prevent deterioration from oil and grease.
WARNING: Certain cleaning agents and solvents can damage plastic parts. Some of these are: gasoline,
carbon tetrachloride, chlorinated cleaning solvents, ammonia and household detergents that contain ammonia.
Avoiding use of these and other types of cleaning agents minimizes the probability of damage.
WARNING: The use of any other accessories not specified in this manual may create a hazard.
Recommended Cutting Capacity:
WARNING: All repairs –– electrical or mechanical –– should be attempted only by trained repairmen.
Contact the nearest Authorized Service Centre for repair service. Use only identical replacement parts; any
other may create a hazard.
The gear case has been completely lubricated at the factory. However, after six months to one year, depending
upon use, it's wise to return your cut-off saw to the nearest Authorized Service Centre for the following:
• Brushes replaced
• Gears relubricated with fresh lubricant
• Parts cleaned and inspected • Any other repairs
WARNING: Use of tool beyond recommended capacities may lead to motor burn-out and possible electric
shock.
