OPERATION
WORKING
Remote control (cable mode):
Connect 8700-LINK cable, from remote control 8700-LINK port to console 8700-LINK port.
Remote control (wireless mode):
In this mode, the remote control doesn't need connected cables (battery must be charged).
Connect 8700-LINK cable, from RF receiver 8700-LINK port to console 8700-LINK port.
In the RF receiver:
Its green LED, ON, must be lit, indicating to you that the receiver is correctly supplied (in case of an
incorrect supply the red LED, LOW, is lit indicating that an external supply is needed).
The blue LEDs, RXD & TXD, are lit at the same time for 4 seconds, during the initialisation
process. After these 4 seconds, each blue LED is lit showing the existence of received data (RXD)
or transmitted data (TRX).
In the console:
In the console, access to menu 35: SETUP/REMOTE & POKECTpc, and set the next option as:
Enable. . . . . 1: REMOTE
By default, console and remote control have set the Remote ID = 1 for the communication, if is wished, this
ID can be changed to any number between 1 and 12, but it should be to change in remote control (MENU
SETUP) and console (menu 35), of other mode will not be able to establish communication some.
In the console status line, the flag RMT appears indicating to you that the remote control is activated.
General:
Turn on the remote control pressing its ON key during 1 second. When the display shows to you:
You can release the pressed key. (If ON follows pressed, the remote control will be turned off newly).
During some instants, approximately 4 seconds, the initialization message appears. Wait until that the
message disappears.
Press ON ON, double click, to take control of the console. After this command the take of control, the
console always is set in a "known status" (Status Zero). In normal circumstances in the display appears the
following message:
In the console status line, the flag
activated and it has the console control. The remote control is operative completely.
Read this manual with careful, and if it is necessary, read the console user manual. The operation commands
in the remote control are the same that the operation commands in console.
