4-7. Spindle Motor
Note
Before starting the work, be sure to refer to "1-13. Cautions on Handling the Optical Block Assembly".)
Preparation
1. Remove the front panel assembly. (Refer to "4-2-1. Front Panel Assembly".)
2. Remove the rear panel. (Refer to "4-2-2. Rear Panel".)
3. Remove the loader assembly. (Refer to "4-3. Loader Assembly".)
Procedure
1. Slide the two optical block assemblies to the direction of the arrow A.
2. Disconnect the flexible cable from the connector (CN1) on the SE-1005A board.
3. Remove the three screws (PSW2 x 6), and then remove the DC motor (spindle).
Note
•
When installing the DC motor (spindle), fit the boss with the hole.
•
Before installing the DC motor (spindle), clean the contact surface and the three screw holes with
a cleaning cloth moistened with cleaning fluid.

4. Install the removed parts by reversing the steps of removal.
