Timer function

Sleep timer (SLEEP) :
The unit is turned OFF automatically after the
specified period has elapsed.
Timer playback:
At the set ON time, the power is switched on
and playback of the source set in advance starts.
The power is switched off at the set OFF time.
Timer recording:
At the set ON time, the power is switched on
and recording of the source (tuner or external
input) set in advance starts. The power is
switched off at the set OFF time.

Sleep timer

Using the MULTI CONTROL jog dial.
1 During POWER ON, Press the
TIMER/CLOCK key.
2 Select "SLEEP TIMER", then press
the ENTER key.

The following items can be selected by
turning the MULTI CONTROL jog dial.

2 "ADJUST TIME"
3 "TIMER PLAY"
4 "TIMER RECORDING"
5 "AUTO POWER SAVE"
3 Select the time until power OFF.
Blinks
The following items can be selected by
turning the MULTI CONTROL jog dial.
1 "SLEEP OFF" : sleep timer off
2 "SLEEP 15"
3 "SLEEP 30"
4 "SLEEP 45"
5 "SLEEP 60"
6 "SLEEP 90"
The power is switched off when the set time
has passed.
To cancel the SLEEP TIMER select "SLEEP
OFF".

Adjust the clock before setting the timer

÷ When the present time has not been set ("Clock adjust-
ment" ^), setting of TIMER PLAY and TIMER RECORD-
ING is not possible.
÷ Green flashing of the STANDBY indicator indicates that a
power failure has occurred. The time must be set again.
Using the remote control unit.
1 During POWER ON, Press the
SLEEP key.
SLEEP
Each press switches the SLEEP TIME
as follows.
1 "SLEEP 90"
2 "SLEEP 60"
3 "SLEEP 45"
4 "SLEEP 30"
5 "SLEEP 15"
6 "SLEEP OFF" : sleep timer off
The power is turned automatically after the
set time has elapsed.
To cancel the SLEEP TIMER, turn the power
off or select "SLEEP OFF".
