    PREPARATION FOR USE • Unplug the AC power cord from the AC socket before connecting or disconnecting any component. To cancel the demonstration mode : Press the EX.BASS/DEMO button. • The demonstration mode will be cancelled and the unit will be in the low power consumption mode.

    SETTING THE CLOCK POWER ON/STANDBY MEMORY /SET CLOCK TUNING/TIME (fi %) POWER In this example, the clock is set for the 12 hours (AM 12:00) system. Press the POWER / ON/STANDBY button to enter the standby mode. CLOCK MEMORY /SET Press the CLOCK button.

  • Page 17 CLEAR Program Playback You can playback the tracks on the CDs in the disc 1-3 position in any order desired. By specifying the disc numbers from 1 to 3, and the track numbers from 1 to 99, you can choose up to 32 selections for playback in the order you like.

    CASSETTE OPERATION REVERSE MODE 7 STOP TAPE A or TAPE B playback Press the POWER / ON/STANDBY button to turn the power on. Press the TAPE (A/B) button. Open the cassette door by pushing the area marked “PUSH OPEN” . Load the cassette into the TAPE A or TAPE B cassette compartment.

    RECORDING (TAPE B only) • When recording important selections, be sure to make a preliminary test to ensure that the desired material is being properly recorded. • The volume and sound quality can be adjusted with no effect on the recorded signals (Variable Sound Monitor).
