2.3.5 Pipeline support

Single-screw extruder system is generally in need with a pipeline support system which has
three forms: full-automatic control system, semi-automatic control system, and manual control
system.
The pipeline system equipped for this single-screw extruder: MYGL265 Ⅰ pipeline system,
MYGL265Ⅱ pipeline system, and MYGL265Ⅲ pipeline system are corresponding to full-automatic
control system, semi-automatic control system and manual control system, respectively.
(1)Full-automatic control pipeline system

The pipeline support of the fully full-automatic control system is shown in Fig.2-8 (fully
full-automated pipeline system). The whole pipeline system is divided into two parts: water pipeline
and steam pipeline. The water pipeline is the lower part of the pipeline system while the steam
pipeline is the upper part of pipeline system.
There are two pipelines in for the water path, water to the extrusion barrel (No.2） and water to the
conditioner (No.8) that share the same water inlet pipe (No.1). Each of the two pipelines of the water
path has an automatic control circuit that contains a constant-proportional control valve and a flow
meter with an output signal of 4～20mA.
The steam path is relatively complicated. First, the steam patch contains a manifold which has
some necessary configurations, such as safety valve pipeline and water drainagetrap pipeline. There
are 3 pipelines serving the conditioner and the extruder: steam to extrusion barrel (No.3), steam to
the conditioner (No.7), and steam to barrel jacket (No.4). Since the former two pipelines above add
steam directly to the material, each is equipped with a constant-proportional control valve and a flow
meter with an output signal of 4～20mA.
