OASIS Top Bracket Replacement Instructions
Tools Needed: Hammer,(2) Two Sawhorses or Chairs, 5mm Allen Wrench, 9/16" Socket and Driver, 9/16" Wrench,
3/4" Socket and Driver or a 3/4" Wrench, and 7/16" Wrench (for Motorized Version).
Parts Supplied: Replacement Top Bracket and (4) Four Plastic Safety Sleeves
WARNING: FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAN RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY!!
PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO PERFORM THIS PROCEDURE.
Close the Awning to the fully closed position. UNPLUG THE POWER CORD.

Install Safety Sleeves on each Lateral Arm. Slide each Sleeve over the Lateral Arm Elbow, toward the
Lateral Arm Clamp, until the Sleeve is fully inserted beyond the mid point of each Lateral Arm. See Figure 1.
Note: In order to install Safety Sleeves on Lateral Arms when closed, it may be necessary to squeeze or
compress the Lateral Arms together to allow the Safety Sleeve(s) to be fully inserted beyond the mid point
of each Lateral Arm.

Position sawhorses or chairs
approximately eight (8) feet apart.

One helper should be positioned at
each leg assembly to prevent the Awning from
sliding as the OASIS is tipped over. See Figure 2.

One helper should be positioned at
each end of the OASIS and be able to lift and
support the weight of that end of the OASIS.

When the helpers are in position, two helpers should
carefully tip the OASIS over until it is resting on the two sawhorses
or chairs (recommended resting height of 3 feet above the ground).
The other two helpers should stabilize the lower legs to prevent
sliding. See Figure 2.
Note: The Front Bar and the rolled up Fabric should rest on the
seat of the chairs or sawhorses. See Figure 3.
WARNING: A HELPER SHOULD STABILIZE EACH SQUARE BAR
UPRIGHT AND LEG ASSEMBLY WHEN DETACHING THEM FROM
THE OASIS. FAILURE TO DO SO CAN RESULT
IN PERSONAL INJURY.
7.
A helper must stabilize the OASIS
assembly resting on the chairs or saw horses.

  • Page 4 Note: For the Manual Gear Driven Oasis, note the orientation of the Gear Assembly on the Top Bracket Assembly before performing the next step. If this end has a Manual Crank Assembly attached to the Top Bracket, using the 5mm Allen wrench, remove the Manual Crank Assembly and attach it to the new Top Bracket with the same orientation.
