CLV 210...CLV 212 Bar Code Scanner
The CLV 210 to CLV 212, (referred to below as "CLV"), are used for automatic reading and decoding of bar
codes in a stationary reading station. These "Quick Start" instructions describe the procedure for initial setup of
the device with the basic configuration set by the factory. Please refer to the CLV 210...CLV 212 Operating In-
structions (no. 8 007 042) for application-specific configurations.

    Reading mode. In the statistical Percentage Evaluation mode, the device operates independently of this trigger thus enabling the read function to be tested directly.     The CLV features an integrated user interface as well as four LEDs to show the actual operating status. To operate and parametrize the device with a PC, a terminal emulation program (e.g. "TERM" from SICK) is required. If the CLV is connected with a terminal, no additional user software is necessary. Enter “a: TERM/E” to call up the TERM program in English from disk in the a: drive on the PC.

    ‡ Press the [ ESC ] key twice; select and confirm the "Percentage evaluation" menu item in the main menu. ‡ Hold the printed code sample in front of the reading window at a distance of approx. 120 mm (CLV 210, CLV 211) or 70 mm (CLV 212).
