IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed

INSTRUCTIONS
1. DANGER- Risk of shock- Disconnect power before installation.
2. This luminaire must be installed in accordance with the NEC or your local
electrical code. If you are not familiar with these codes and requirements,
consult a qualified electrician.
3. WARNING: Not intended for use with emergency exit fixtures or emergency exit
lights. Not for use where exposed directly to the weather or water. Not for use in
totally enclosed recessed fixtures
4. WARNING: Risk of Fire or Electric Shock. Install this product only in the
applications that have the construction features and dimensions shown in the
photographs and/or drawings.
5. DO NOT make or alter any open holes in an enclosure of wiring or electrical
components during kit installation.
6. To prevent wiring damage or abrasion, do not expose wiring to edges of sheet
metal or other sharp objects.
7. WARNING: Risk of Fire or Electric Shock. Install this kit only in luminaires where
the input ratings of the kit does not exceed the input ratings of the luminaire.
8. CAUTION: Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party
responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the
equipment.
9. CAUTION: Risk of electrical shock. Do not open. There are no user serviceable
parts inside. Turn the power on before inspection, installation, or removal. The
lamp is suitable for use in wet locations. Use only on 120 VAC, 60 Hz circuits.
10. IMPORTANT: Each light shall be installed only in its intended manner and
orientation. Not all existing recessed cans that meet these requirements will be
compatible with the Cree Disk Light.

PRE-INSTALLATION
This 6 in. or 4 in. disk light can be used in general lighting for residential and commercial spaces in ceiling lighting. The LED retrofit is designed to install
in either a standard 6 in. or 4 in. recessed can, or surface mounted onto a 4 in. junction box.
To prepare for a junction box installation, refer to the chart below to determine if the disk light mounting bracket is required.

COMPATIBILITY

• The Cree LED Disk Light is designed to install in either a standard 6" or 4" recessed can or surface mounted onto a 4" junction box.
• Compatible with most dimmers when used with multiple fixtures. Consult www.creebulb.com/dimmers for a compatibility chart.
