NOTE: When moving the choke
to the "OPEN" position and the
engine speed gets inconsistent.
Then move the choke to mid
position to allow additional time
for warming up. After warm up
move the choke to the "OPEN"
position.
h). Move the throttle lever (13) between

i). Squeeze the roller brush control
lever (3) to engage the roller brush
drive.
j). Squeeze the drive control lever (1) to
engage the wheel drive.
Warm start
a). Move the fuel lever (20) to "
position.

(OPEN) position.
c). Move the throttle lever (13) to halfway
position.
d). Set ignition switch (19) to "I" (ON)
position (Fig. 27).
e). Pull the recoil starter handle (21) slowly
several times. Then pull the recoil
starter handle until you feel a definite
resistance (starter engaged) and
then pull firmly to start the engine. If
necessary, pull the recoil starter handle
several times until the engine starts.
WARNING! Allow the cable to
return slowly and in a controlled
manner each time it is pulled!
f). Move the throttle lever (13) between

g). Squeeze the roller brush control
lever (3) to engage the roller brush
drive.

Stopping
a). Release the roller brush control
lever (3) and drive control lever (1).
b). Move the throttle lever (13) to
position.
c). Let the product run idle for about 1 – 2
minutes.
d). Set ignition switch (19) to "0" (OFF)
position (Fig. 28).
e). Move the fuel lever (20) to "
position (Fig. 28).
f). Leave the choke lever (23) in its "
(OPEN) position (Fig. 28).
NOTE: The roller brush will
continue to rotate for a short
period after the product has been
switched off.
12 Functional test
NOTE: Perform the following test
before operating your product.
When the control levers (1, 3) are released
and in the disengaged upper position, the
wires should have very little slack. They
should not be tight.
a). Start the product as described above.
b). Stand behind the product and squeeze
the respective control lever to engage
the wheel or the roller brush drive.
c). Allow the wheel or the roller brush drive
to remain engaged for approximately
ten seconds before releasing the
respective control lever. Repeat this
several times.
d). Confirm that the wheels and the roller
brush have completely stopped when
releasing the respective
control lever (1, 3).
