When you install any extended-format module into the NETBuilder II 4-Slot or
8-Slot chassis, you must start with the first slot after the CEC module slot and
work down. If the first slot is occupied, move its contents to other slots and
install the FDDILink module into the now vacant slot.
To install the module into the NETBuilder II 4-Slot or 8-Slot chassis, follow these
steps:
You will need small flat-blade screwdriver.
You can safely install a module without turning off or rebooting the
NETBuilder II bridge/router. This is known as "hot-swap" capability.
1 Remove the filler panel from the top slot.
If the cable strain relief bracket that came with your chassis is already installed,
remove it also.
