  • Page 4 First ScopeE xplorer is a highly practical PC-based connectivity tool that interfaces Waverunner to a PC that is running Microsoft Windows, via the rear panel GPIB (IE EE 488) or RS-232 port. Specially designed by LeCroy for its oscilloscopes, ScopeExplorer allows you to perform data and image transfers and other remote operations from scope to PC with just a few keyboard strokes or mouse clicks.

Disconnect the power cord before inspecting or replacing a fuse. Open the fuse holder (located directly to the left of the mains power plug) using a small, flat-bladed screwdriver.

  • Page 9 I R S T H I N G S Before a display appears, the instrument will automatically perform hardware and software self-tests, followed by a full system calibration. The front panel STANDBY L ED will be lit during this sequence. The full testing procedure will take about 10 seconds, after which a display appears.

  • Page 11 I R S T H I N G S IN ITIALIZE Initialize your Waverunner scope to its basic default waveform display settings: PANELS Press to display the PANEL SETUPS menu group. If Recall is not selected, press the button once to select it: Then press the button beside Initialize to Waverunner default settings whenever you wish to clear your settings and make a fresh start on a new measurement.

This is a complete display shutdown of the internal screen — an “Energy-Saver.” The front panel LED light will indicate when the scope is in the screen-saving STANDBY state.
