New Vehicle Break‐In
The first 20 hours of riding are the most important hours in the life of your engine.
Read the and follow these instructions to properly break-in your new Intimidator.
Do not put an excessive load on the engine for the first 20 hours. During this
time the various parts of the engine wear and polish themselves to optimal
operating tolerances. Full-throttle operation or any condition that might result in
engine overheating must be avoided.
0-10 Hours:
 Avoid prolonged operation above ½ throttle.
 Vary the speed of the UTV regularly.
 Do not operate at one set throttle position.
10-20 Hours:
 Avoid prolonged operation above ¾ throttle.
 Rev the engine freely, but do not use full throttle at any time
20+ Hours:
 The engine can now be operated normally
Once the engine reaches 20 hours of run-time it needs to be serviced.
The first service is essential for checking for any indications of potential future
issues. We recommend that an authorized Intimidator dealer perform the initial
service to ensure a long and reliable service life for your machine.
