Pressure Relief
Procedure
Follow the Pressure Relief Procedure whenever
you see this symbol.
This equipment stays pressurized until pressure is
manually relieved. To help prevent serious injury from
pressurized fluid, such as skin injection, toxic fumes,
and moving parts, follow the Pressure Relief
Procedure when you stop dispensing and before
cleaning, checking, or servicing the equipment.
1. Retract the metering rods (E).
2. Shut off the flow of fluid to the metering valve based
on the configuration of your system. Refer to Typi-
cal System Configuration on page 11 that shows
A side (AE) and B side (AF) fluid shut-off valves.
3. Remove the static mixer. Refer to Figure 11 on
page 17.
4. Dispense 5 shots. Using your system controls (AD),
make sure that the shots are at least 75% of the full
stroke.
5. Extend the metering rods (E) into the tubes.
6. Close the incoming air shut-off/bleed valve (AH) that
supplies air to the metering valve (AC).
7. Close the incoming air shut-off/bleed valve (AG) that
supplies the A side supply pump and the air shut-off
bleed valve (AJ) that supplies the B side supply
pump. Refer to the supply pump manual for the
pressure relief procedure. See Related Manuals on
page 3.

Shutdown

1. Perform the Pressure Relief Procedure.
2. Inspect the metering rods (E) for material buildup.
Clean as necessary.
3. Install the storage cap on the outlet nose (L).
