Installation of the HVI

Non-conductive structures are e.g. all façades made of natural/solid material (stone, concrete, wood,
etc.).
In order to reliably prevent discharges, the metal conductor holders of type HVI
holder (Part No. 275 450) must be conductively connected by a metal connecting brace of type
HVI
Ex busbar 500 (Part No. 275 498) (see Fig. 3).

Installation in parallel to a non-conductive structure
At the transition of Ex zone 1 and 21, the first or the last brace must be connected to the equipotential
bonding or earth-termination system.
The metal conductor holders can be connected with the metal connecting brace by two riveted connec-
tions (diameter of 5 mm) or the fixing screw (diameter of 5-6.5 mm) (slot 7 x 10 mm). The fixing /
connecting screws must be secured against self-loosening (e.g. by means of a spring washer).
